We're looking for a UI focused full-time front-end engineer to take a critical role in our product development.

What You'll Do

  • Be a crucial contributor on our product's UI team
  • Help to drive the next generation of our product
  • Get to work with massive real-time data sets
  • Be involved in selecting and driving key new features for our platform
  • Explore and evaluate cutting-edge front-end technologies
  • Come up with creative solutions for tough performance problems
  • Work with our distributed team of designers and developers
  • Develop key integrations with our API
  • Improve and maintain applications in backbone.js & angular.js
  • Get thousands of customers smiling with the things you build!

Who We Are Looking For

Applicants should be adept with modern JavaScript tools (jQuery, Backbone, CoffeeScript, etc.) and be passionate about clean code and elegant solutions that scale well into tomorrow's needs. You should care about user experience, believe that speed matters and sweat the details that make for successful interaction design.

  • Expert-level knowledge of JavaScript
  • Passion for exploring emerging front-end technologies
  • Experience with backbone.js, angular.js or both
  • Significant experience with REST APIs
  • Experience with JavaScript test frameworks
  • Strong HTML5 and CSS3 programming
  • Preference for / willingness to use Coffeescript
  • Experience with Ruby / Rails programming
  • 4+ years of relevant engineering experience
  • Experience working in a *nix environment
  • Git savvy

Extra Credit

  • Data visualization experience (D3.js, cubism.js, dynamic charting, SVG)
  • Experience with API design
  • Experience working with a remote team
  • Familiarity with best practices for responsive design
