CampaignAmp is the amazing Project Management and Analytics start up for the music industry.

Founded by the ex-Group Managing Director of Ministry of Sound and an ex-BBC Digital Producer, we are revolutionising the way that Marketing and PR professionals work together on their artist’s campaigns.

CampaignAmp is a cloud based, collaborative platform that provides a suite of simple to use, effective, project management and analytics tools (that we call Intelligent Project Management) that allows them to 'crank up the volume of their campaigns'.

We are going through a period of explosive growth and need your help.

Launched in November 2013, we are now working with Universal and Sony as well as Ministry of Sound, the largest independent record label in the world. We are now also working with 2 of the 3 major label groups, 2 of the biggest management companies in the world and numerous other PR and Promotions companies.

Our investors include, Collider the marketing technology accelerator and individuals from a diverse range of high profile tech companies, brands and agencies such as Facebook, Unilever, Pepsi, Iris and Independents United.

Purpose of the Role

We have an immediate opening for an experienced and passionate DevOps Engineer to become the newest member of our highly driven development team.

As our DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and managing the consumption and normalisation of multiple data feeds across the CampaignAmp platform as well as being responsible for designing and optimising our BTD processes. Alongside this, you will also be responsible for identifying opportunities for optimising and further developing the current AWS infrastructure to help to provide a stable, robust and efficient platform for our users.

Ideal candidates will be self-motivated, disciplined and be able to demonstrate a passion and keen eye for emerging technologies that can be exploited to further the application and service infrastructure. Extensive knowledge of PHP5, MySQL, MVC architectures and OOP is essential as these are the foundations of the platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilise external APIs to integrate, normalise and develop new and existing data sets
  • Design and develop authenticated RESTful interfaces
  • Maintain and optimise the application and worker stacks on AWS, providing status reports as required
  • Ensure ‘single version of the truth’ consistency across ALL areas of the application and reports
  • Write concise and comprehensive technical documentation
  • Write unit and integration tests using automated test frameworks
  • Develop BTD processes including Continuous Integration, Unit Testing, Automated Build Workflows

Required Skills

This is a senior position. We’re looking for somebody with demonstrable knowledge of high end, high performance web application development and data administration, but more importantly we’re looking for passion for our product and for the technology required to deliver it.

  • Advanced DB design and management skills, including MySQL, MongoDB etc.
  • Exceptional PHP development skills with an excellent understanding of object-oriented code
  • Experience of RESTful API creation and development
  • Experience of consuming external data services, including XML and JSON formatted data
  • High proficiency in writing robust code for large scale web applications with rapid release cycles
  • Experience in configuring, maintaining and optimising Linux and Apache server environments on AWS
  • Experience of managing high traffic, high volume and high performance data stores
  • Experience of deploying and optimising scalable applications using AWS services
  • Experience of working with source control systems such as Subversion and Git

Desirable Skills

  • Experience of working in a Scrum or Agile team
  • Experience of writing in languages other than PHP (such as Python, Ruby, C)
  • Good Knowledge of front end development (HTML5, CSS3, JS)

  • Able to cope under high pressure of tight deadlines, without compromising quality

Our office is located within the Bussey Building in Peckham Rye but we can be flexible around working remotely (to be discussed).

This is the ideal position for someone who is passionate about data and data standards and excited at the prospect of helping to drive successful marketing campaigns for some of the world’s biggest artists.
