SkyVerge is looking for part-time Rails contractors with at least 10 available hours per week to join our team. You'll be responsible for contributing to projects that already power thousands of online stores (and growing), helping to build new products, and making sure that the ones we already offer stay golden.
Ideally, we'd like to find some great developers to work with on an on-going basis. The possibility of this evolving into a larger time commitment per week or a full-time position as we grow is up to you if you're looking for it - we have no shortage of work that needs to be done!
Here are some of the major responsibilities and benefits for this position:

Experience building Rails apps is required for this position - we'd love to see samples of apps you've built start-to-finish. Our projects usually involve our entire development team, with one engineer as project lead. You'll be involved in either reviewing, fixing, or building apps from collaborative spec. We'll provide sample code and our framework, and we need developers that can understand our standards and hit the ground running.
You should be proficient in Ruby & building apps the Rails way, along with HTML/CSS/Sass/CoffeeScript. We also use Sidekiq, Slim, and Bootstrap, so familiarity with these is a plus.
Our team stays in touch primarily via HipChat/Slack, and Skype, so familiarity with any of these is helpful, but not required.
Other Position and Benefit Details
This is a part-time position with flexible hours (at least 10 per week) - we know your work will speak for itself with commits, issues closed, and wiki edits. The position could evolve into a full-time, salaried position as we grow. Following an interview, we'll ask for a quick sample project for which you'll be paid before we commit to working together regularly.
We offer performance-based incentives in addition to hourly rate for meeting our quality standards or for beating deadlines. We like working with people who take pride in their work and we love to applaud a job well done.
