We’re looking for someone to assist our head web developer with the current Qwertee site, working on new and improved versions of the site and on new projects also.

Here’s what we’re looking for:

A good all-rounder, ideally with front and back end web development experience

We're currently carrying out a full rebuild (front and backend) of our existing site from scratch. So we’re looking for someone with a varied skill set to assist with this, in particular this project requires experience with:

Coffee script, Javascript, NodeJS, Express, MySQL, Redis, Python (preferable), PHP (preferable)

Please don't apply unless you have experience with all the above.

  • You have a 3rd level degree (BA Hons) in Computer Science or equivalent
  • You have experience with Coffee script, Javascript, NodeJS, Express, MySQL, Redis, Python (preferable), PHP (preferable)
  • You have a portfolio of previous work, or shared projects that you’ve worked on so we can see examples of your work
  • Ideally you’re self-employed and can invoice us for your work. This is not a requirement but it would be a bonus:)
  • Ideally you are able to create websites that look good as well as solid backend development.
  • You are comfortable working with others and working to agreed plans. You’ll just be working with one other person at the moment so it’s important that you can communicate well and get on well with them!
  • You are available to work 20+ hours per week. The position may become full time if it suits you and we’re happy with you.
  • Your happy working either to deadlines/specific tasks or on an hourly basis.
  • We may ask you to do a coding sample (create a payment processor or similar) as a test to see if you are suitable/able for the level of work. If we hire you we’re happy to pay you for any time spent working on such projects!
