SASS/CSS3/HTML5/JavaScript/Photoshop/Illustrator/OH MY!

Do you take great pleasure in designing user interfaces that are both functionally elegant and beautiful to look at? Do you obsess over bringing your impeccable sense of aesthetics to how you write code? Do you enjoy discovering how to do things in CSS that most developers thought were only possible using JavaScript? Our growing, profitable, bootstrapped company is seeking to add a talented, motivated expert CSS/HTML5 Designer who is excited about building the next version of our industry-leading product with us (seriously, it is industry leading).

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Create interaction models, user flows, and UI designs that promote ease of use and optimize the user experience
  • Design and build beautiful web and mobile application UI using jQuery, SASS, and CSS3
  • Ensure perfect functionality and performance across a wide variety of mobile devices and 1st tier browsers (No IE8!)
  • Be creative and proactive about feature and architecture decisions

Skills and Experience:

  • Extensive experience developing consumer web application interfaces
  • Solid intuition of best practices and tools used in user-centered interaction design
  • Solid visual design skills, including an eye for typography and the use of color
  • Proven ability to design in Photoshop, Illustrator or the like
  • Expert experience implementing designs using HTML5, SASS and CSS3
  • JavaScript ability a huge plus
  • Comfort working in an agile startup environment. Our cycles are extremely fast and your code will be up and running on our production site the first week you start
