We are looking for a skilled AngularJS developer to help us build our web and mobile applications. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the existing code base, troubleshooting bugs and building new features for Optix (our new and flexible workplace management solution). You will plan, structure and build our web and mobile applications. You will also be working closely with a small team across engineering, product, and creative functions to help develop the best possible experience for our users.

On the Backend we are working with PHP and MySQL. This Backend Server provides a REST API with which our AngularJS Front-End communicates. Our web application is also growing in scope and scale, so our team needs to grow as well, so that we can build key features for our users. AngularJS is, of course, a relatively new framework. We don’t expect you to be an expert, but you should be passionate about becoming one. A very solid understanding of JavaScript is required, as this is the basic language you need to get work done.

We offer salary compensation, employee stock option plans, and flexible work options. This is a great opportunity to join a rapidly growing technology startup. We have a small team based in Vancouver, Berlin, and San Francisco. We have a flexible work model and fully set up with online and cloud-based collaboration tools, so that you can work from virtually anywhere!

Job Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of Javascript, with at least 5 years of proven experience
  • Experience with AngularJS
  • Expert understanding level of RESTful HTTP-based interfaces and design patterns such as MVC
  • Ability to work with both GIT and Subversion

Desired but not required:

  • Experience working with PHP
  • Fluent in SQL, database design experience, particularly with MySQL
  • Linux skills (command line, scripting, administration)
  • Strong HTML5 knowledge
  • Knowledge of Linemanjs

Experience with any of the following is a plus:

  • Mobile development using PhoneGap
  • Testing with Jasmine and Karma
