Are you wild about creating amazing pixels? Do you surf design blogs and drool over amazing work. Do you have the desire to learn new things and contribute to a growing company in a big way? We need you and we need you yesterday to join our design team.

We have a very fluid design process at Olark. We build, ship, and iterate - and we do it quickly. We are looking for a designer who isn’t afraid of going back to the drawing board, you will need to continually rethink your designs in order to find better solutions.

Sample of things you'd do

  • Iterate heavily on Olark’s website to push key metrics
  • Help guide our engineering team on matters of visual design in customer facing work
  • Create landing pages, and graphics for newsletters and blogs
  • Chat with our awesome customers (Every one of us regularly chats directly with our customers to learn their needs and help us continue leading the way)

What you need (Requirements)

  • Ability to take creative direction and constructive criticism (No egos)
  • HTML/CSS (You need to be able to build what you design )
  • Solid visual design fundamentals
  • Strong visual design skills, including an eye for good typography, composition, and use of color
  • Demonstrated skill with a strong portfolio
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize projects, and communicate progress
  • Mastery of Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Willingness to learn new technologies (We have a strong learning environment here)
  • Substantial creativity and a sense of humor (We love to have fun)
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
