We're witnessing a revolution. The entertainment industry is being transformed by gamers who are becoming the next generation of great performers and personalities, and they’re drawing the attention of larger audiences every day.

At Outpost Games, we’re building a multiplayer survival game, called SOS, that’s designed from the ground up to be as thrilling to watch as it is to play. Powering SOS is a platform we’re building that turns every player into a performer and gives them a live, interactive audience. Join us and work alongside industry veterans from EA, Zynga, Naughty Dog, Epic Games, YouTube, and Twitch to take a fresh approach on gaming and entertainment.

Outpost Games is looking for an experienced and motivated individual to own and improve our web presence for SOS. The web developer will assume ownership over all web destinations that support the game, including maintenance, site performance, and platform compatibility.

This is a part time contract role, which can be performed remotely.

  • Drive and direct Outpost Games’ web presence for SOS (sosgame.com) and the studio (corp.outpostgames.com).
  • Collaborate with the marketing team for implementation of web-based content, graphics, animation and design elements.
  • Deliver clean, reusable, fullstack code in a rapidly changing environment.

  • Ability to take wireframe designs and build them out to complete web page.
  • Experience creating responsive websites and a deep understanding of how a mobile user experience differs from the experience on web.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with standard design software including PhotoShop and Illustrator.
  • Proficiency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related web technologies.
  • Proficiency with PHP or comparable server-side experience.
  • Fullstack ability, including experience interacting with MySQL or equivalent RDBMS.
  • Advanced knowledge of modern web standards, accessibility, usability, and security.
  • You have excellent written communication skills and know how to receive and deliver constructive criticism.

Outpost Games is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce – Minority / Female / Disability / Veteran / Gender Identity / Sexual Orientation.
