Lullabot is one of the world's top open source web development, strategy, consulting, and training companies. Our client list includes The Grammys, Martha Stewart, Time Warner, Sony Music, MTV, Turner Broadcasting, Verizon, World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), Harvard University, Best Buy, and many other well known brands. In addition to our core development and consulting business, we run both public and private training events, and a subscription-based video training site. In short, we've built a successful, passionate, and expanding company with varied services and products. We have a very tightly-knit but distributed team with a casual and fun attitude and a focus on quality work over quantity.

The job

We are looking for a creative and talented web designer to join (and help build) our awesome design team. This designer will have the opportunity to work with Lullabot's amazing clients, and also craft and hone Lullabot's internal products and marketing materials. To summarize, we're looking for someone with great design skills who understands the complete design process and is capable of carrying a design through to markup and CSS and communicating with the entire team throughout that process.

You'll get to make your own hours and work with some of the smartest, most talented, and most quick-witted people you'll ever meet. You'll also get to work directly with our Creative Director to create, refine and add to our design processes and build a great design team. You'll get to work on some awesome products and some exciting clients projects as well.

You will report directly to our Creative Director, Jared Ponchot and also work closely with our Marketing Manager and other designers and developers. Lullabot offers excellent benefits including health care, vision, dental, life insurance, and 401K. Salary commensurate to skill and experience.

  • thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • enjoy working with a distributed team.
  • enjoy learning new things.

More about Lullabot

We are a 5-year-old distributed (sometimes referred to as "virtual") company without a central office. Though both of the company's founders now live in the Providence, RI area, the remainder of our 40+ team members are spread out across the Western Hemisphere. We're very proud of our team of experts and our contributions and leadership in the design, strategy, and Drupal communities. We simply hire the most talented people wherever they are. Our clients are spread out as well. That being said, we have ended up with many media clients in New York and Los Angeles.

Working for Lullabot is probably unlike anything you’ve done before. To slightly paraphrase Voltaire (and Stan Lee!), “With great freedom comes great responsibility.” At Lullabot, you get to (generally) make your own hours and work from home or wherever you like. Self-direction, a casual but confident attitude, and a focus on quality over quantity are some of the things we look for. We work from both the head and the heart and guide our decisions by our (Core Values)[http://www.lullabot.com/values].
