We are looking for an outstanding DevOps engineer to join our team to help us design, maintain and grow our server and back-end infrastructure for our popular web-based products.

This position includes everything from working with our data center provider to provision new systems, maintaining our existing servers, designing backup and recovery plans, helping optimize the performance of our products, automating tasks with configuration management tools as well as building back-end systems for upcoming products. You will also help our small but growing team with our infrastructure and various projects.

We use various technologies as part of our server stack, such as Ubuntu LTS, Ansible, HAProxy, MySQL, Corosync, PHP, Vagrant and DRBD. More important than mastering a specific tool or programming language, we expect you to quickly learn new tools that we might use in the future. You have extensive system administration and programming experience as well as a strong technical background.

To join our DevOps team, you meet the following criteria:

  • Computer science degree or comparable job experience
  • You have experience building and maintaining high-availability web infrastructure
  • You are familiar with scripting, configuration management tools, clusters, databases and networking technologies
  • You have a deep understanding of system architectures, including Linux
  • Extensive programming experience and a strong technical background
  • Excellent writing and communication skills (English; German not required)
  • You have experience working remotely
