The Android Software Engineer’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Creating high-level user interfaces
  • Defining and implementing new features
  • Developing data models
  • Debugging and delivering the best possible application performance
  • Working closely with engineers, designers and different groups across Voalte


  • 2+ years of Java development on Android
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or comparable degree
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Familiar with Agile software development process and Scrum
  • Strong programming skills with Java and the Android SDK
  • Experience with Git or other revision control system for managing source code
  • Experience using the Unix command line
  • Understanding of TCP/IP network protocols
  • Understanding of XMPP and SIP helpful, but not required
  • A high degree of Passion, Respect and Imagination
