Description

Javascript Developer

Fast growing consulting company has a remote position opening for an Intermediate to Senior Javascript Developer.

You will work as part of a team to iteratively develop beautiful and usable web, desktop and mobile software using web technologies. You will be involved in the full life-cycle of products and features, from the inception of an idea to its design and implementation, to its use by end-users and then back through the feedback loop for progressive improvements or, occasionally, a total redesign. Most of our applications fall into the data collection and decision support domain. We serve both academia and industry; our clients include: Stanford University, US Department of Transportation, National Cancer Institute, Fred Hutchinson Research Center and the Massachusetts General Hospital.

We are looking for a craftsman who is passionate about clean code and test-driven development. The ideal candidate has the following qualifications and skills:

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or similar field of study
  • Experience and proficiency with Backbone.js and jQuery required
  • Experience with node.js is a big plus
  • Experience with Twitter Bootstrap, CSS3 and d3.js are also an advantage
  • Strong communication skills, in English, both verbal and written
  • Must be a strong self-starter and able to work well independently with honesty and integrity
  • Must be eligible for US employment and must pass US Government background check/security clearance
  • Teleworking encouraged
