Overview:

Librato is a unique cloud-based platform that helps companies collect, visualize, store and create alerts on large amounts of streaming data. Responsibilities:

We're currently growing the Integrations Team. Your charter would be to to expand our ecosystem of third-party integrations and open source clients. You ideally would have a software or operations engineering background and a desire to work with metrics and data services, be comfortable switching gears and projects and learning on the fly, and a track-record of being able to dive deep into difficult to solve problems. Customer service aptitude with excellent communication skills is required.

You would develop new service integrations for Librato involving but the following tasks and will vary according to project:

  • Design and develop new services that incorporate partner APIs
  • Wire in services with frontend UI
  • Write unit tests and perform QA for integration services
  • Collaborate with service partner representatives
  • Document new features for customers
  • Blog posts describing new services and features

Qualifications:

You will have demonstrated work in the following areas:

  • Experience with one or more high-level programming languages (Ruby, Python, Go, Javascript, etcd
  • Experience with Ruby / Rails programming
  • Familiarity with a wide variety of network applications, services, and protocols
  • Comfortable with a variety of *NIX platforms
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with other team members, customers
  • Strong work ethic, able to work independently / deliver without supervision
  • Experience with developing in / supporting multiple programming languages
  • Experience supporting / developing against REST APIs
  • Significant experience with technical writing / documentation as well as web development and performance tuning.
  • Knowledge of basic statistics and/or experience running "lean" experiments
  • Contribute to significant OSS monitoring or metrics collection tools
