Megaport wants the best people to join our team and grow our global services. We’re working exciting areas of networking and services, including next generation network products, elastic bandwidth solutions, cloud services integration, full service delivery automation, total network automation, and Software Defined Network development. This role will work closely with the engineering team to design and implement a robust development and application deployment process, you will ensure the Megaport platform is consistently running smoothly and delivering a high quality and responsive customer experience.

What you will be doing

  • Working with engineering and various project stakeholders to deliver applications to the right environment at the right time
  • Build and implement processes and tools for configuration management for databases and services
  • Monitoring and reporting on service health and availability including fault detection, alerting and recovery
  • Application performance management and reporting including benchmarking, capacity management and escalating performance issues with engineering
  • Evaluate new technology and provide guidance on best practices

What you have done

  • 2+ years of experience administering linux systems
  • Experience with configuration management systems like Chef, Salt or Ansible
  • High proficiency in one or more scripting languages
  • Good working knowledge of both SQL and at least one NoSQL database
  • Experience implementing automated testing procedures on a large scale project
  • Familiarity with metrics­driven application monitoring
  • Strong written communication
