This role requires a deep grasp of systems and networking and a strong background in application deployment technologies, scripting and application engineering support. Our DevOps team is responsible for building infrastructure tools, automating the system/application deployment pipeline, and working with development teams to help engineer scalable software. A DevOps role is critical in ensuring the smooth operations and service delivery of the viaForensics high volume, big data driven infrastructure and applications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the software engineering, technology management and systems operations staff on standards for deployment, scaling, capacity planning and environment management Work with the developers to ensure systems are developed to support operational requirements, including scalability. Develop, manage and monitor the code deployment pipeline and environment configuration automation Build highly scalable, available and reliable application hosting and networking solutions Track down and fix issues, especially in high-impact and emergency response scenarios Drive systems risk assessment, failure recovery and business continuity planning System monitoring and availability assurance Willingness to be on-call, work late hours to troubleshoot and ensure availability. Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Technical or a related discipline 7-10 years of relevant experience in systems administration, networking and/or DevOps Working knowledge of automated build and configuration tools such as Puppet and Chef, Ansible, however direct experience with SaltStack is a plus Strong working knowledge of AWS/EC2 Experience with Docker is a must. Experience with web application development and service oriented architectures Experience with setting up infrastructure and services monitoring and alerting systems Experience with nagios, or sensu Experience with large-scale web applications and managing large custom/proprietary application deployment pipelines Experience with Mongodb and ElasticSearch Experience with Git or Subversion. Experience with Node.JS, Python a plus Firm grasp of core operating system concepts (processes, threading, memory management, filesystem types, ACLs). Background in computer security or mobile security a plus
