Candidate sought for an engineering position with a growing software company.Neota Logic is the creator of Neota Logic Server, a no-code platform with which people who are not programmers build, test, maintain, and deploy expert applications to reduce risk, increase efficiency, and ensure compliance. Neota Logic applications automate expertise by combining rules and complex reasoning, documents, and processes.

Responsibilities vary based on the business needs of clients, however key responsibilities include:

What you will be doing:

  • Managing the internal & external infrastructure supporting Neota Logic's no-code platform for expert applications
  • Tuning our cloud-based delivery systems to achieve excellent availability, responsiveness and performance
  • Ensuring that our networks and applications are secure for us and our customers
  • Helping to integrate our products into corporate environments
  • Troubleshooting problems that arise when our software is deployed in corporate environments
  • Administering several business-critical RDBMS's
  • Managing backups, Amazon Web Services, Play/SBT build system, and Git SCM
  • Occasionally working with front-end web technologies (HTML, etc.) as necessary to accomplish your sys-admin goals

What we are looking for:

  • 2+ years of professional experience administering systems in a modern, cloud based environment (Linux)
  • Demonstrated proficiency with at least one dynamically typed scripting language like Python, Perl, or Ruby.
  • Experience administering Microsoft SharePoint (preferred)
  • Coding experience (Java is preferred, but Scala and others will be acceptable too)
  • Hands-on experience managing SQL relational databases. NoSQL is a plus.
  • The ability to come up to speed quickly and thrive in an environment rich in complexity
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present ideas and solutions in a clear and organized manner
  • The ability to work independently and achieve established goals with minimal supervision
  • Experience working on geographically dispersed team
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (or related field)
  • Strong attention to detail, but with a solid grasp of the bigger picture

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience within a technical environment
  • RDBMS/SQL, AWS (Cloud), Scripting (Python, Perl, Ruby, etc), Security, Coding (Java preferred)
  • BSCS (or related field)

  • Proven ability to build, manage and foster a team-oriented environment
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Agility in managing and adapting to change in a small growing company and culture
  • Self-starter
  • Excellent attention to detail

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with SharePoint
  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting; either military or civilian
