About You

We are looking for a Designer who cares deeply about creating compelling, usable and beautiful experiences -- with a profile to back it up. You will work closely with our team to design and build new products and features and improve our existing ones.

You will help us turn our vision into forward-looking new products and features. You will help define the user experience strategy, requirements, and enhancements. You'll push the boundaries of what's possible to create better user experiences.

Working with the lead designer, you will be responsible for the daily needs of a fast-paced startup. These include:

  • Creating the user interface for our collection of iOS and Android apps
  • Social media images, header images and other marketing material
  • Creating beautiful, diverse new themes for our bloggers (and updating existing ones)
  • Landing pages and other micro-sites
  • Wireframes, HTML emails, ads, and other misc designs
  • Internal documents, including Sales PowerPoints, Keynote presentations and print-material

Required Experience

  • Strong, diverse portfolio that allows us to see the full scope of your talent
  • Experience developing user interfaces for UGC (user-generated-content)
  • Experience developing responsive, device-agnostic interfaces and designs
  • Experience designing iOS and Android Apps
  • Expert knowledge of PowerPoint, Keynote
  • Experience designing themes a plus
  • Experience with "flat design" style a plus
  • Experience with competitor/similar sites a plus (SBNation, Vox, BleacherReport, Tumblr, etc)
