Description

Supreme Golf is looking for a front end developer to work on our golf tee time aggregation service. Working with design/development leads, you will be involved in all aspects of development, including planning, execution and testing. You are someone who solves problems creatively, learns quickly and doesn’t mind getting outside of your comfort zone.

We are looking for someone to take a design mockup and functional, but ugly, technical implementation and produce a functional, responsive, pixel-perfect website using HTML/CSS/JavaScript/etc. If you like to dabble in the graphic design space or are looking to get more into backend development, that works for us as we overlap in responsibilities. We are not looking for people that dream about responsive design or CSS3 transformations. However, if you dream about golf, that’s okay, so do we. We are not looking for ninjas, Jedi, or rockstars. We are looking for people passionate about work — at work.

We are looking for people that have considerable experience in the following technologies and tools: HTML, CSS, HAML, SASS/SCSS, Javascript, jQuery, Modernizr, ReactJS and related friends. We are looking for someone who can build for IE9+ and the latest versions of Safari, Chrome and Firefox.

Supreme Golf is a small remote team with a fairly flat organizational structure. Some of us are in Dallas, Texas (Corporate Offices), some in Washington State. You could be anywhere, provided that there is a decent amount of overlap during working hours. Ideally you live somewhere that shares 3+ working hours with PST. If you don’t, you are welcome to still apply, just be sure to tell us why the timezone offset won’t be an issue.

Must Have

  • Ability to work independently and proactively.
  • Ability to collaborate remotely.
  • Ability to communicate and are willing to disagree when you believe it's right.
  • Ability to be transparent about what you do and do not know.
  • Mobile (responsive web).

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with Ruby on Rails applications.
  • Experience using Git and Github.
  • Open source project contributions a plus.
  • Passionate about the game of golf.
  • Mobile (app experience).
  • Experience interacting with APIs via Javascript.
