Job Description:

As part of a small team focused on specific software components, you will help develop and improve software services that power Discogs, as well as adjacent sites such as VinylHub.com. You’ll play a big part in supporting and growing our community of collectors, buyers, and sellers.

A strong sense of initiative and collaboration is a must. This will include working closely with the other Discogs software teams.

We are looking for a full stack developer who is comfortable working with everything from back end datastores, application servers, javascript and html/css. You’ll work primarily with Python, MongoDB, and AngularJS.

Discogs is based in Portland, Oregon, but remote work is possible if you are an experienced candidate based in Western Europe or North America. We require applicants to be fluent in English.

Job Duties:

  • Develop and maintain software following an agile/scrum methodology
  • Collaborate with team members on troubleshooting and creating elegant solutions
  • Help estimate and prioritize development efforts

Requirements:

  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 2+ years experience building web applications
  • Thorough understanding of full stack web development and object-oriented programming
  • Preference for open source software tools
  • Proven track record of shipping, getting things done
  • Experience with automated testing
